Dr Veena received Gold Medal for securing highest marts in B.A.M.S. at the annual convocation of Mangalore University held on 01.02.1997. She was awarded First Prize for the presentation of a paper on “Ayurvedic Perspective of Metabolic Disorders and Integrated Care in Osteoporosis” at the International Conference on Health Sciences 2005. Her paper on “The role of Bahushala Guda in Raktarshas” was published in Global Ayurveda, an international magazine, in 2009. She has presented many papers in several conferences and has given guest speeches on many occasions.
